To the most awesome people in the world =]

i know i complain about my parents a lot and sometimes even say mean things about them but who doesn’t right? but they really are the best parents ever. they’re not the stereotypical chinese parents and i’m so so very thankful that i can’t even begin to explain. they’ve never gotten on my case about not getting A’s in everything and verbally abuse me for doing so. if anything, they encourage me and try to reassure me that things will turn out fine in the end. they don’t try to keep me caged up at home and think that doing so will make me a good child. in fact they tell me to go out and have fun and just try not to get home too late. they’ve never told me that i’m never to be in a relationship or be friends with guys till they give me the ok to do so. of course, them being lenient also has its negative effects but it has allowed so much more communication and understanding between us and has given us such a strong bond. and they’re still stereotypical chinese parents in some ways but i can live with that and is the reason why i’ll thank them here instead of telling it to their faces because that’s just not the chinese way to do things. so thanks dad!!! thanks mom!!! thanks for not adding more crap to these already stressful times!!! i will make an official promise here, witnessed by whoever reads this blog, that i will never abandon you guys and force you to live in a senior home where i’d only visit maybe once a year instead i will try to be as supportive as you have been of me when the time comes that you need it. and i also promise to try my best to not let your encouragement and support go to waste =] I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(another thing that’d be weird for me to say to their faces lol seriously though, they’d look at me and say what kind of drugs are you on right now?o.O) ohh parents…<3

aww janice you’re so cute lol but yeah your parents are pretty chill and not like the really stereotypical chinese parents. they’re really understanding.

i like that part about the senior home haha. it’s sad that the children of those parents don’t appreciate what the parents have done for them. but you’re really considerate so of course you wouldn’t do that :p you’re an only child so you’re their only precious treasure! stand tall and study hard so they can brag about you to other parents (LOL) and be proud of you :)
